PRG News Bulletin – Apr 2026
Helping beneficiaries be more aware of pension matters.
From time to time, often through personal contacts, members of the PRG are asked for help by partners or children of Reuters Pension Fund (RPF) members who are sadly no longer with us, or by RPF members who want to ensure their beneficiaries are best looked after. It appears that some beneficiaries, and sometimes even RPF members, know very little about the information and processes around the RPF pension scheme and ISIO (the administrators of RPF pensions), or struggle to find this when they most need to. Occasionally an RPF member has never got round to making an “Expression of Wish” or has forgotten to update it when things change.
The PRG believes steps can be taken which will help members and beneficiaries of members be better informed about RPF information relevant to them. In the coming months we will be carrying out a review which will focus on how “the user experience” for beneficiaries of members can be improved.
The following are a few suggestions to get started on this:
- Make sure your beneficiaries are aware of the ISIO website. The FAQ section of the website includes information relevant to beneficiaries, as well as members. (Click here to access).
- All RPF members are encouraged to make an Expression of Wish, and to check that this is up to date as things can change over time. This expression of wish is used to help the trustees decide what action to take on the death of a member.
- Make a Will!
- Encourage your beneficiaries (or anyone involved in administering your estate) to subscribe to the PRG site, so they also periodically receive news, can access the archive, and become more familiar with pertinent information.

A reminder – RPF pensioners can login to their “my pension tracker” account to access the letter informing them of their 1 January 2026 pension increase. Click here to do so.
Introducing new PRG team members:
We have recently welcomed three people, Norma Cohen, Steve Cheng, and Stephen Edward, to help on the PRG team. More information about the team and a complete list of members can be found here.

We hope that you will continue to keep us informed of your views and any pension problems that have not been resolved through normal channels.
Meanwhile, please note that the current agreement for annual inflation increases to members with pre-1997 service expires at the end of 2027. PRG will be closely monitoring developments.
